[. . . ] If there is evidence of cuts, wear, or abrasion, it must be replaced prior to use. Leak check the piping and regulator connections with a soap and water solution before operating the grill (see Leak testing instruction page 8). If a replacement is necessary, contact the factory for proper replacement. Make sure all the knobs are in the "OFF" position, and then turn on the gas supply. To ignite each burner, simply press and turn the control knobs to the "HI" setting. If the burner does not light, turn off the gas supply, wait 5 minutes for any excess gas to dissipate and then try again. However, variations in the local gas supply may make minor adjustments necessary. Burner flames should be blue and stable with no yellow tips, excessive noise or lifting. Noisy flames or flames that lift away from the burner indicate too much air (See the "GAS FLOW CHECK" section on page 8). MATCH LIGHTING If the burner does light after several attempts, it can be lit with a match. Insert a lit extended match or lighter through the cooking grids to the burner. Open the lid, and press the knob for about 5 seconds without turning it. While turning the knob, press the igniter button to light the rotisserie burner. If the burner does not light, turn the control knob to the "OFF" position. If the igniter does not function, follow the instructions above for match lighting. Keep a spray bottle of soapy water near the gas supply valve and check the connections before each use. 11 TO MATCH LIGHT THE GRILL If the burner will not light after several attempts using the control knobs, the burner may be lit with a match. If you have already attempted to light the burner with the igniter, allow 5 minutes for any accumulated gas to dissipate. Insert a lit extended match or lighter through the cooking grids to the burner. Press the control knob and rotate left to the "HI" setting, continue to press the knob until the burner ignites. If the burner does not light within 4 seconds turn the knob to the "OFF" position, wait 5 minutes and try again. CAUTION When lighting, keep your face and hands as far away from the grill as possible. 12 EASY LIGHTING ILLUSTRATIONS MAIN & SIDE BURNER LIGHTING ROTISSERIE BURNER LIGHTING 1.
